What should I expect on my first visit?

Expect a warm welcome from greeters at the front doors! Maybe you are new to the area. Maybe you’ve never been to a United Methodist Church. Maybe you’ve never been to a church at all. Wherever you find yourself on your faith journey, you are welcome here. Driving directions and parking information can be found here.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in! Being on the Gulf Coast, we have some people who wear shorts and sandals but also some who like to wear sport coats. Casual or dressy, you are welcome just the same.

When and what are the worship services like?

We offer a traditional worship service at 10:15 am. Our incredible Director of Music plays a combination of piano and organ throughout the service. During the season our First Church Choir leads us in worship singing hymns and blessing us with special music. Our preaching is bible based and inspirational as well as practical.

Are there any accommodations for physical disabilities/hearing problems?

We strive to make our campus accessible for everyone. There are no steps into the main floor of our sanctuary, and the majority of our meeting areas on campus are first floor. We have wheelchair accessible restrooms located on either side of the Worship Center. Our Worship Center features an assisted listening system for our hearing-impaired visitors.

Do you celebrate Holy Communion?

Yes we do!  Every first Sunday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion during our worship services. You will receive communion at the communion rail or we will come to you if mobility is limited. We also celebrate communion on Maundy Thursday and Easter. We, at First Church, practice an open table. All are welcome to the Lord’s Table.

Can I watch online?

We live-stream our worship services on YouTube every Sunday. You can also watch any service at any time by clicking here.
