Upcoming Worship Service

Previous Worship Service

Lent is a time for reflecting on your faith and your life! What better time than Lent for taking a Bible study that will begin right after Ash Wednesday for six weeks. This is a great opportunity for learning, reflecting and getting to know others. We are offering two Bible study options and potentially a third if there is enough interest. We will be using Adam Hamilton’s book, The Walk. It focuses on five practices for a Christian life - Worship and Prayer, Listening, Serving, Giving, Sharing. Each session will include a video by Adam Hamilton, renowned speaker, author and pastor of the UM Church of the Resurrection.

Online Class - Meeting on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:30 pm. We will help you learn how to use Zoom if you are a first-timer. Great for our friends who are still up north or those just not ready to attend in-person activities yet. Facilitated by Vanessa Fletcher and Thelma Johnson.
In-Person Thursday Morning Class: Meeting on Thursday mornings in Barton Hall at 10:30 am (socially distanced with masks on) facilitated by Vanessa Fletcher. Starting February 25th. Room for 4 more participants.
In-Person Wednesday Morning Class (FULL!) - Meeting on Wednesday mornings in Barton Hall, 10:30-11:30 am (socially distanced with masks on) facilitated by Wendy McKee.

To register or for more information, please email Vanessa Fletcher, Director of Discipleship, at discipleship@fumcnaples.org.

Get To Know Us

First Naples is the earliest established congregation in Naples. We've had the pleasure of welcoming worshipers from all walks of life since 1891. Whether you're just passing through the area or looking for a church home, we welcome you to First Naples!

Along with being the first church in Naples, we also have the first preschool in Naples. Our Methodist Day School Preschool & VPK has been providing quality care and education to young children within a Christian environment since 1961.

Fill The Table artwork

Fill The Table Initiative

The Florida United Methodist Conference has created the "Fill The Table" initiative to provide 3,000,000 meals for those in need by September of 2021. Since the initiative's start in July, our congregation's food and financial donations have created 3,950 meals for people who receive food from Grace Place and St. Matthew's House food pantries!  Click HERE to download the list of most needed food pantry items. Click HERE to give online.

Meal Packing Ministry

We have also partnered with Meals of Hope to pack food for those in need in participation with the conference's Fill The Table initiative. We are packing 180 bags weekly creating 5,040 meals for hungry families in our community. Since the meal packing project's start in December, we have created over 50,000 meals for those receiving food from a Meals of Hope pantry! Packing is easy and fun! We finish in two hours and have a max of 10 volunteers at a time to ensure social distancing. Masks and gloves are required. Please contact Vanessa Fletcher at discipleship@fumcnaples.org if you are interested in volunteering.

Card Ministry

Even during a pandemic, there are ways to serve and appreciate those in our community! Our congregation has written cards to 72 Naples police officers, 49 Naples firefighters, 16 Naples paramedics and EMTs and the homebound of our church.

Altar Flower Ministry

When our donated altar flowers are not claimed, they are donated to local organizations to spread joy and brighten the days of people who serve our community. We have donated to Neighborhood Health Clinic, NCH, Grace Place, Boys and Girls Club and more!
