At First Church, Music Ministry is an integral part of the worship experience, enhancing each service by creating an inspirational experience through our choirs, piano, organ and other special guest musicians.

First Church Choir
Do you love to sing? We always welcome new voices! Join our adult choir rehearsal every Thursday afternoon from 1:00-2:00pm in the sanctuary at First Church, led by our Director of Music, Dr. Karen Click. Performing traditional and more contemporary choral music, this sanctuary choir leads the service with congregational hymn singing, and provides anthems, offertories and special music at Sunday services November – April. There are no auditions, but the ability to read music is helpful.

First Church Ringers
New at First Church is our handbell choir! First Church Ringers is our adult handbell choir that plays occasionally for our 10:15 worship service, as well as other services throughout the church year. This ensemble, led by our Director of Music, Dr. Karen Click, rehearses every Thursday from 11:00am-12pm in the choir room. Consisting of 12 ringers, they play a set of 3-octave Schlumerich handbells. Ability to read music is not required, but helpful.

Methodist Day School Performances
Twice a year, our Methodist Day School preschool students participate in Sunday service. With their angelic voices and engaging smiles, it is always a joy to see these children performing!
