Music

Our music program at FUMC is growing! Music has long been a vital part of worship at First United Methodist Church, and allows you to use your talents to the glory of God!

Sanctuary Choir

Do you love to sing? Join the Sanctuary Choir for rehearsal every Thursday afternoon at 2:20pm in the choir room. The Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation in hymn singing and provides anthems, offertories and special music at the 10:15 service most Sundays (November - May). You do not need to read music; your enthusiasm and willingness to serve the church in this capacity is more important. Email Dr. Karen Click at karenclick@gmail.com for additional information.

Handbell Choir (Coming Soon!)

Are you interested in joining the Handbell Choir? We are starting it up again, but we need 11 ringers to cover 1-1/2 octaves of bells. The ability to read music is important, but not entirely essential. If you are interested in being a part of this new group, please email Dr. Karen Click at karenclick@gmail.com

Meal Packing Ministry

First United Methodist has partnered with Meals of Hope to pack food for those in need. Every other week we pack non-perishable food in our social hall for hungry families in our community. Food insecurity is a major concern with the increased cost of food today. Since we started this program in December of 2020, we have packed over 430,000 meals for those receiving food from Meals of Hope food pantry! This is an easy and fun way to give back to the community while meeting people as you pack. It only takes 1.5 hours for 10 volunteers to pack  every other week. Please contact Jaimie Dandridge at Admin@fumcnaples.org if you are interested in volunteering (All are welcome. You don't need to be a church attender to participate.)

Children's Sunday School

Sunday 10:30 am | Classroom 103: Our children stay with their families in the beginning of our worship service. They proceed to their Sunday School Class, after the Children's Moment during worship. Our Children's Sunday School offers a place where our younger disciples will hear the word of God through Bible stories, followed by age-appropriate crafts, and activities. The hour is wrapped up with fellowship and joyful fun as friends join together in play. You may pick up your children afterwards in Classroom 103, behind the sanctuary.

Card Ministry

There are many ways to serve and appreciate the local community; including sending a simple card.  Our congregation has written cards to 72 Naples police officers, 49 Naples firefighters., 16 Naples paramedics and EMTs and the homebound of our church.

Altar Flower Ministry

Every Sunday, there are beautiful flowers on the altar. We like to share that beauty and brighten the days of people who serve the local community by donating the altar flowers.  Neighborhood Health Clinic, NCH, Grace Place, Boys and Girls Club and many more have received our lovely arrangements.
